Laganas stretches across the south coast between Kalamaki and Agios Sostis. Its beach is one of the island's best-known sandy shores, while the surrounding resort provides restaurants, shops, taxis and departure points for exploring the gulf.
The area is lively in summer, but it is not only about nightlife. Families use the long, shallow shoreline, groups arrange boat trips, and quieter moments can be found by choosing the right part of the beach and the right time of day.

Laganas Gulf forms part of the habitat used by loggerhead turtles. Some beaches and sea areas are managed to protect nesting and marine life. Follow current National Marine Park guidance, keep distance from wildlife and use responsible local operators for boat trips.
Agios Sostis
A smaller coastal area west of Laganas, known for its waterfront and the footbridge towards Cameo Island.
Marathonisi trips
Boat excursions cross the gulf towards Turtle Island. Access and routes should follow current environmental restrictions.
